Science and Joe

I took the image above with a 55mm to 250mm lens with a solar filter and an additional hood. I used the LCD monitor only, positioned at a 90^o angle to prevent direct eye contact with the sun.

The aperture was set to its narrowest diameter and the shutter speed to its fastest rate to darken the surrounding field of the photograph with only a slight lens flare.

I estimate that the coverage was approximately 70%.
